Crisis management training in Malaysia

Crisis Management Centre designs practical training for executives, crisis teams and operational personnel. Sessions focus on the decisions participants may need to make, the information available at each stage and the coordination required across functions.

Scope

Training can be based on an existing crisis plan or used to identify what the organisation needs to develop.

What the work covers

A clear operating structure for preparation and response.

01

Training needs assessment

We review the organisation’s risk profile, team structure, plans and previous incidents before defining the session objectives. This keeps the training relevant to the participants and their actual responsibilities.

02

Tabletop exercises

Participants work through a structured scenario in facilitated stages. The exercise tests escalation, decision-making, communication, stakeholder coordination and the use of existing plans.

03

Crisis simulations

More complex simulations can include timed updates, media enquiries, stakeholder pressure, operational changes and incomplete or conflicting information. The scope is agreed in advance and adjusted to the experience of the participants.

04

Debrief and action plan

Each session concludes with a facilitated review. We document observations, clarify lessons and identify changes required in plans, roles, training or supporting resources.

Questions

Before you engage the Centre.

Who should attend crisis management training?

Participants may include board members, executives, operations teams, risk and security personnel, communications teams, legal advisers and business continuity staff.

How long does a training session take?

A focused tabletop exercise may take several hours. A larger simulation may run for a full day or longer. The format depends on the objectives, number of participants and scenario complexity.

Can training use our own crisis plan?

Yes. Using the organisation’s current plan allows participants to test whether its roles, contacts, escalation procedures and checklists work in practice.

Does the training provide professional certification?

Not unless a recognised certification arrangement is expressly included in the engagement. The standard service is organisational training and exercise facilitation, not individual accreditation.
